AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PRENTISS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO PERMANENTLY RETIRE A CERTAIN PRENTISS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE DEPUTY SHERIFF IDENTIFICATION NUMBER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Prentiss County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to permanently retire identification number "SO-7" which was assigned to Deputy Sheriff Michael Hisaw of the Prentiss County Sheriff's Office, who was killed in the line of duty on March 11, 1999.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
